About me
We need a new turn in how we understand human behaviour, to liberate ourselves from the grip of generational toxicity and break free from emotional entanglements with the system that governs and influences us and our lives
Born and raised on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sardinia in 1973, Elena moved to the Netherlands at age 20, where she achieved two Master’s degrees in Latin American Literature and Latin American and Caribbean Studies, with a focus on Cultural Anthropology. Both studies have contributed to enrich her understanding of human behaviour.
During her career, she studied and worked in the field of human behaviour. She did field research in Peru on the political violence that affected the indigenous women and children during the civil war and listened to the perpetrators to understand their reasons.
One day man will wake up from his oblivion and finally understand who he truly is and to whom he has handed over the reins of his existence—to a fallacious, deceitful mind that renders him and keeps him enslaved. Man has no limits, and when one day he realizes this, he will be free even here in this world.Giordano Bruno
Break free and your strength will begin to arise
From her research in Peru, she understood that women are the key factor in breaking toxic patterns. Pregnancy is the moment when the child’s reality is shaped. If the woman has unresolved childhood’s issues, this will affect the quality of the child’s life.
It is therefore fundamental that the woman, before or during pregnancy, takes action to free herself from her family’s toxic emotional inheritance and learn to really love herself.
Elena worked in Guatemala on a project for children in poor environment. From this experience she broadened her understanding on how deeply parents can affect the behavior of children who, without a proper guidance, will grow into dysfunctional adults. Elena was walking on a rural street when three young children –three to five years old– began to call her “gringa” and threw stones at her. They couldn’t have known what a “gringa” means and show such a hatred, without an adult instilling them bias.
Listening to yourself, understanding the real reasons for your troubled experiences, helps you to dissolve what isn't yours and transcend the path of sorrow.
Move toward the light, toward your freedom, to become who you really are
She worked in The Netherlands in the refugee sector and for the socio-cultural integration of foreigners. This experience confronted her with the consequences of war and conflict and showed her the importance of resilience to rebuild a life, from scratch and far from home.
The theme of violence and dysfunctional behaviour was recurrent in this work, playing an important and destructive role in the lives of the people she spoke to. Both personally and through her studies and work, Elena has come to recognize the need for a new turn in how we understand human behaviour, to liberate ourselves from the grip of generational toxicity and break free from emotional entanglements with the system that governs and influences us and our lives.
Her goal is to empower ourselves to evolve into new human beings and consciously shape our feelings, thoughts, and behaviours in a balanced and healthy manner.
Elena has lived and travelled abroad. She speaks six languages fluently and she is learning two more. She is also a self-taught person and an independent researcher.
